Dividends and US urges hands-off approach to AI regulation during G20 tech meeting in North Carolina

Through the year conventions are held and when the government departments led the convention, how the regulation of that industry will be brought up. Everyone should know AI and data centers are front and center during the political cycle, what should the government do?

In an article from Reuters, G20 members are meeting in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to AI and creating rules for AI.

The US’s government goals largely align with the thinking of the world’s largest AI companies in the world. They want less regulation or to help shape the possible regulations as they are written.

US tech advisor Michael Kratsios, who is co-hosting the 2 day meeting advocated for countries to avoid writing entirely new regulations for AI. He wants regulations to focus on the technology.

The problem that can be seen relatively easy is the AI’s developments are outpacing scientific understanding and government policy.

Linking to dividend paying stocks, very often the people who lead these types of companies are the ones talking to the government about regulations. What they think will help them or hinder their economic growth. This slowly transforms into regulations and one of the reasons the companies can make profits on a consistetnt basis.

There are more questions than answers, till the next time – to raising questions.
